The Biscuitville 125 Road Race is Back on April 30!

VIRginia International Raceway Prepares for Thrilling Race Welcoming Back Biscuitville 125 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East

Danville, Virginia – April 11, 2016 – VIRginia International Raceway will host the Biscuitville 125 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East April 30 on its historic 2.25 mile North Course. The race day, sponsored by Biscuitville Fresh Southern®, will include a full day of competition featuring the rising stars of NASCAR’s top developmental series as well as big-rig truck road racing with the supporting ChampTruck World Series and additional festivities such as testing, qualifiers, driver autograph sessions and more.

“We’re ecstatic to have our good friends from NASCAR and Biscuitville back for a fourth year of one of the most exciting annual races at VIR, the Biscuitville 125 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East,” said Connie Nyholm, owner and CEO of VIR. “I can’t think of a better partnership than Biscuitville as they share our Southern values and hospitality. We know this will be an amazing experience with NASCAR K&N fans at the race again this April.”

Biscuitville Fresh Southern has been family owned and operated since 1966 with 54 locations throughout North Carolina and Virginia. It is known for serving locally sourced, southern inspired food that is scratch-made the old-fashioned way, including its namesake hand-kneaded biscuits that are freshly made every 15 minutes, each and every day.

“Every year gets better working with VIR, and we’re pleased to once again partner for such an exhilarating event,” said Burney Jennings, CEO of Biscuitville Fresh Southern. “We look forward to an unforgettable day of racing and seeing the amazing young NASCAR K&N drivers in action.”

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series, which includes the East and the West, is the top step in NASCAR’s developmental ladder before drivers’ progress to the three national series. In each race, NASCAR fans are introduced to the next generation of racing stars. The Biscuitville 125 at VIR is the fifth race in the series’ 14-race 2016 schedule for the eastern United States.

The supporting series, the ChampTruck World Series, offers real, affordable, competitive big-rig truck road racing. Spectators will enjoy lots of action as both racing pros and those without any prior experience “put the pedal to the metal.” Watching their favorite brands of trucks master six-wheel drifts makes this a one-of-a-kind event.

VIR gates open Saturday, April 30, at 8:00 a.m. for an adrenaline-filled all-day event. Racing action takes placethroughout the day, and the Biscuitville 125 is scheduled to kick off at 3:45 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets online for only $10 in advance, and guests can use the promo code “BISCUITVILLE” to receive a valuable promotional package with special offers. Tickets can also be purchased at the VIR box office on race day for an additional $10. Children 16 and under are admitted free of charge and parking is also free.
