Biscuitville To Open New Restaurant At Parkway Plaza To Replace Silas Creek Location

Ten Percent of all Opening Week Sales to Benefit Hurricane Victims
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (OCTOBER 5, 2018) – Biscuitville FRESH SOUTHERN®, A local family owned restaurant widely known for its authentic, southern-style breakfasts, will open a new restaurant at 2145 Peters Creek Parkway in the Parkway Plaza Shopping Center on October 10. Biscuitville will close its restaurant at 2125 Silas Creek Parkway on October 8 at 2 p.m. to allow employees from the old location time to transition to the new Peters Creek restaurant.
Biscuitville will celebrate the opening on October 10 from 5 a.m. until noon (while supplies last) with a wheel for guests to spin for a chance to win prizes. Guests also will be able to sign-up for a chance to win Free Breakfast for a Year* (*52 free breakfast combo coupons). Biscuitville will award a number of Free Breakfast for a Year coupons by randomly selecting from the entries received on opening day. No purchase necessary to enter. Selected winners will be notified after October 10.
As part of the opening of the Peters Creek restaurant, Biscuitville will contribute ten percent of all opening week sales from the new location to benefit those affected by Hurricane Florence. Biscuitville is working with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina to expedite funds to Eastern North Carolina as quickly as possible and begin helping people in need.
“Our new Peters Creek restaurant features the best of what our guests have always loved about Biscuitville and offers a fresh, new look with additional amenities,” Biscuitville President Kathie Niven said. “Our new design was carefully crafted to be warm and welcoming to provide a comfortable, family-friendly dining experience. I hope as many guests as possible will visit our new restaurant from October 10 through 16 to help benefit victims of the recent hurricane.”
“In addition to our new Peters Creek restaurant and the location we opened on University Parkway in early summer, we have remodeled dozens of other Biscuitville locations during the last three years as part of an exciting growth phase for our company,” Niven said. “All of our new restaurants and the remodeled locations are being built on Biscuitville’s foundation of serving fresh, locally sourced, scratch-made food. We’re looking forward to seeing our loyal customers from our Silas Creek restaurant and hope they will soon feel at home at our newest location.”
As part of the new restaurant design, Niven said that Biscuitville has also updated and expanded its biscuit window, which allows guests to view the biscuit-making process. This feature is so iconic to Biscuitville’s brand, the company proudly posts Home of the Biscuit Window Since 1966® in front of its biscuit makers. The new restaurant design opens up the front counter areas to create better views of the kitchen and encourages interaction between team members and guests.
Other highlights of the new Biscuitville on Peters Creek Parkway include:

Michelle Cornelissen, a member of the Biscuitville FRESH SOUTHERN®, family since 2012, serves as operator of the new Peters Creek Parkway restaurant. A native of Winston-Salem, Cornelissen was raised by her grandmother, who knew the definition of real Southern cooking. She has an associate degree in accounting and is working on a bachelor’s degree.
