Jennings Family and Biscuitville Named a 2017 Family Business Award Honoree

First Class of Family Business Award Nominees

Family-owned businesses are essential to the economic fabric of the Triad. In fact, some would even say they are the backbone of our region because of their resilience and ability to sustain growth, add jobs and invest in their operations over time.

It was with those characteristics in mind that Triad Business Journal this year launched a new awards program, the inaugural Family Business Awards. Today, we announce our first class of honorees, a diverse array that spans everything from manufacturing to furniture to restaurants to staffing. Click through the slideshow below for a glimpse into each winning company, its leadership and when it was founded.

But be sure to stay tuned for May 18, when we will recognize each of our honorees at an awards dinner, the details of which can be found at And don't miss the May 19 edition of Triad Business Journal, where we'll feature each of the winning companies, with details on how they've managed sustained success and how they've given back to their communities.

Complete list of honorees, photos, and online story available at the Triad Business Journal.
